Estella is a modern American-fusion restaurant bringing Black cuisine to the heart of Boston's Theater District. This family owned restaurant, named after the beloved mother of the owner, is so good and well crafted that even their desserts are amazing. I teared up the first time I tried their butter bond cake, forever inking a place in my heart. Plus the customer service is exceptional. Rhythm 'n Wraps is one of the very few Black vegetarian eateries serving globally inspired wraps, bowls, and comfort food classics. Their menu features plant-based twists on favorites like Philly cheesesteaks and BLTs, and cool creations like curried chickpeas and jackfruit wraps. My favorite meal is the Big Shug, it’s an impossible burger topped with vegan mac 'n cheese, veggies and their handcrafted chipotle mayo.

Fresh Food Generation offers a unique blend of Caribbean and Southern flavors using fresh, local ingredients. When I took my first bite of their plant-based rice plate it took me on a fantastic flavor journey. The plantains were sweet and tender, the rice and beans were cooked to perfection and the greens were so good I could hardly believe there wasn’t any meat in it! Oh and their drinks are so refreshing on a hot day, I highly recommend the Mango Sunset.
