An easy, 1-mile out-and-back hike accesses this ragged point at the southern end of the Marin Headlands. The trail features a tunnel and a suspension bridge en route to the lighthouse.

Connect the Hazelnut Trail with the Weiler Ranch Trail for a moderate 4.5-mile loop below Whiting Ridge. The route offers a nice mix of forest walking, open valleys, and big views.
