Built just miles from the city center of Budapest, Hungaroring is frequently compared to a go-kart track with its relatively short straights and a number of corner series. Because it’s constructed in a natural bowl, spectators also enjoy a great view from almost any seat in the stands. The weather here can be unpredictable, however—the day before the F1 crew began shooting here, they sheltered from hailstones the size of grapes pelting the paddock. This classic circuit debuted its first car race way back in 1947 but remains a favorite today. With its trio of beloved and feared corners—Maggotts, Becketts, and Chapel—racers give fans a real feast for the eyes on this tricky course. This was the first shooting location for F1, and the garage the production team built there was so realistic that Lewis Hamilton, who is also a producer on the movie, joked it was better than his own. Originally built in the 1960s as a test track for Honda, the Suzuka track made its Formula 1 debut in 1987. The iconic circuit offers a high-speed challenge with two Degners, its storied 130R turn, snaking S curves, and one very cool crossover. Commonly known as Imola, this circuit has a rich legacy and history that are nearly unrivaled in the sport. Named after Enzo Ferrari himself—and his son Dino—and located not far from the carmaker’s headquarters, it offers a counterclockwise thrill ride full of tight corners. In a nearby forest, a statue of Ayrton Senna commemorates the iconic racer, who lost his life at the track during the Formula 1 San Marino Grand Prix 1994.

This classic course in the heart of the French Riviera is one of the most recognizable and stunning car racing sites ever. Since its debut with Formula 1’s very first racing season in 1950, it has seen great triumphs and heartbreaks. Here, the Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco’s first British winner, Stirling Moss, was crowned in 1956, Senna and Mansell had their epic showdown in 1992, and Daniel Ricciardo faced a haunting loss after earning pole position in 2016.

Boasting bragging rights as the first-ever city to host a nighttime Formula 1 race, Singapore’s Marina Bay circuit is a specific kind of challenge. The hot, humid weather and bumpy city roadway make its degree of difficulty particularly high.

Drawing massive crowds, this modern racetrack in Austin, Texas, has been a fresh new favorite since hosting its first F1 race: the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix 2012. Not only is it one of the most challenging on the schedule, but it has already hosted some of the sport’s most memorable moments in recent history, like the controversial 2021 showdown between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton in the Formula 1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

Melbourne’s best-of-both-worlds course offers a stunning lakeside route just a short distance from the city’s bustling center. No wonder this newer track has become a fan favorite since it opened in 1996.
